Originally from central New York, I graduated from Loyola College in Montreal, Quebec. In 1972, I moved to the Washington, DC area, where I completed a 28-year career in federal law enforcement. My wife Peggy and I have three grown children.

Since childhood, I have always enjoyed art and drawing. It was almost by accident that I discovered watercolor in 1997, after taking some evening classes from a talented local artist.

The properties and techniques that make watercolor so simple, yet difficult to master, have always intrigued me. While I can paint in a tighter, detailed style, I prefer to explore into impressionism, with loose brush work and freedom to capture subject’s as I want to view them.

I have exhibited my work throughout Northern Virginia and have been juried into several exhibits and shows in KY, VA and MD. Proudly, my artwork has made its way into private collections across the United States.

I teach watercolor and mixed media classes at the Art Factory, located in historic downtown Manassas, VA.
